Boscastle Food, Arts and Crafts Festival

2nd and 3rd Oct 2010

This year sees the fifth festival of food, arts and crafts to be held in Boscastle. The event, born out of a sense of community regeneration following the flood of 2004, has now become firmly established on the festival scene and is arguably the biggest and best of its kind to be held in Cornwall.

Boscastle walking week will be held 4th - 8th April 2011 - Details to follow.

Beaches

The North Cornish coast is well known for its Surf and for those looking for beaches there are several to choose from. Heading north there are: - Strangles, Crackington Haven, Widemouth and 2 beaches at Bude.

There are many quality places to eat in Boscastle and places to suit all pockets. A local taxi is usually available should you like a drink or two.

Places To Go - Around Boscastle

Why stay in Boscastle? Only an hour from the end of the M5 and is central to South Cornwall and North Devon. The Eden project is only 40-45 minutes away and Landhydock, Cotehele, Heligan and Dartmoor are all within an Hours drive from Boscastle. Tintagel, Crackington Haven, Widmouth bay and Bude are all close by.

Places To Go - In Boscastle

In Boscastle itself there is the Witchcraft Museum, you can watch the Boscastle Potter using his famous magic formula to create his well known images. There are many other shops in Boscastle and then there is the unique harbour. Full of charm, the costal walk from Boscastle to Tintagel is in the top five walks to do in Cornwall and there is a regular bus service between the two so you can just walk the one way if you wish.
