Another of the names that have put Cornwall on the culinary map and Bill’s a major part of it. Cornish born, he’s worked all over the world and has been chef/lecturer atthe school for the past year. He’ll be demonstrating deep-fried plaice with spring onions and chilli seasoning and sauteed squid and chorizo salad with garlic, rocket, tomatoes and chickpeas.
Gareth has worked at some of Cornwall’s best known restaurants including Pescadou in Padstow. He says he will be “banging the drum” for Cornish produceand producers and “cooking affordable local produce”. He’s keen toencourage young people to cook and eat their own food.

Jamie Oliver’s now very famous “out of town” venture. Neil is Fifteen’s executive chef, managing a brigade of 35 staff, professional and apprentice. Previously Chef De Cuisine at Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados, Neil has also worked at many top London restaurants including Terence Conran’s Bluebird.
A small Devon based company becoming honorary Cornish for the occasion. The company produces handmade meat, fish and fruit pies, together with salmon andvegetarian quiches. Mervyn will be demonstrating the art of cooking gamecasserole.

Cornwall College trained, Dave has run the business with wife Kirsty since 2007. Hespecialises in mouth-watering cakes, soufflés, fresh sauces, pestos and gourmet meals. Among other things he’ll be showing how to make the perfect chocolate mousse.
